Bill O’Reilly is getting desperate to defend Fox News

After having his lies exposed all over the media, Bill O’Reilly is using right-wing conspiracy theories to promote the defense of Fox News. Since Bill is the “King” of cable news, “culture warrior”, “crusader-general” for the “War on Christmas” and “Holy Warrior” for the Fox News Channel. In his Talking Points Memo opening on March 9 which was titled “Hating Fox News,” heralded a new Quinnipiac poll that O’Reilly bragged“shows that Americans trust Fox News more than any other TV news agency by a substantial margin.”

As anyone familiar with O’Reilly’s aversion to the truth would know, he did not tell the whole story. The same poll shows that Fox News is also the network that is least trusted by Americans. Now why do you suppose he left that out? The fact that Fox received a vote of confidence from 29% of the poll’s respondents means that 71% trusted another network more. That is not exactly something of which to be proud. What’s more if you add up the two categories of positive responses for trusted networks (a great deal + somewhat), Fox News is second to the last. It beats only MSNBC by a mere 3%.

O’Reilly attacked David Axelrod for being “two-faced” after he appeared on his show talking about his book and then “trashing” Fox when interviewed by other networks. O’Reilly believes this was a mistake and “not a legacy builder.” Bill doesn’t need to worry about his legacy because it’s been established by his shrewd personality, which explains why he doesn’t have any friends left. He also thinks Axelrod will apologized and they are waiting for it. He continued on saying

“Our primetime programs set the political agenda.”

“The fact is that Fox News is now a deep threat to the progressive movement and the far left despises us so they are in full attack mode desperately trying to marginalize FNC.”

“There are just two national news agencies that challenge the progressive agenda with authority: the Wall Street Journal editorial page and the Fox News Channel.”

“If FNC did not exist, America would be a far different place and the far left ideology would have a far easier time. But we do exist and now dominate the primetime news cycle. Not good news for progressive politicians, the liberal media, and crazed zealots on both sides.”

He attacked Media Matters founder David Brock, claiming he was heavily backed and funded by George Soros, who has been a victim of stupid Fox attacks that include Glenn Beck (the most notorious). The attack on Media Matters came after he mentioned John Podesta who is working with Hillary Clinton after being a top adviser to Barack Obama. He came with a “list of associations.”

Bill goes on to argue (not really) that FNC and the Wall Street Journal editorial page are the most reliable. O’Reilly goes on and on about the fake Hillary Clinton email scandal saying that Brock came to her defense and that it was a threat to national security. There wasn’t any threat. He went on to mention that Peggy Noonan of the journal should watch her back after publishing criticism of Hillary Clinton. He also argues that the powerful ones are using websites to smear political opponents and claims that they have been documented at the Fox News Channel and “find their way to the mainstream media to promote the defamation for ideological reasons.”

Fox is also crushing it’s competition economically. It apparently costs them hundreds of millions of dollars, so they can join in on the attack process. Bill is right that if Fox didn’t exist, then America would be a different place. That’s the only thing that he said that is true. Fox won’t be a threat and the trust in media wouldn’t be questioned and America would be a far better place without it. Political assassinations are also planned out. Bill should know because he is making it all up.

Let’s not forget that he thinks the “liberal media collapsed.”
