The Right Brain v Left Brain (…and vice versa)

Have you ever wondered which portion of your brain is the dominant one? The Brain has two distinct sides, or hemispheres, the Left Brain v the Right Brain, and each is responsible for different things…

Take the following test to see which side of your brain you use most… It will give you an idea as to the type of person you are! Double click on the image below…

Do you see the dancer turning clockwise or anti-clockwise?

If you see it turning clockwise, then you use more of the right side of the brain and vice versa. Most of us would see the dancer turning anti-clockwise though you can try to focus and change the direction; see if you can do it.

The Left Brain Functions uses logic, detail, oriented facts, rule, words and language. The present and past, math(s) and science comprehension, knowing, acknowledgement, order/pattern perception, knows object name, reality based, forms strategies… and practical and safe matters…

The Right Brain Functions uses feeling, seeing the ‘big picture’ imagination, symbols and images, the present and future, philosophy, religion, meaning, beliefs, appreciation, perception, knows object function, fantasy, presents possibilities, impetuous risk taking.

When a person develops dominance toward one side of their brain, they tend to have certain characteristics and areas of interest in common. The left side of the brain is often thought of as the logical, thinking side. Also, people of left brain dominance tend to choose similar occupations, such as…
